Visiting Naples means immersing yourself in its cultural and artistic identity written in the many museums, castles, churches, squares, alleys. The journey starts from the majestic fortifications, the Castel dell'Ovo and the Maschio Angioino. The Baroque characterizes the Decumani, in the ancient perimeter of the city, along which the most emblematic monuments can be admired, such as the monumental complex of San Lorenzo Maggiore. The squares have similar importance: Piazza del Plebiscito, Piazza del Gesù, Piazza San Domenico.
Many museums: the Sansevero Chapel, the Santa Chiara Complex, the Royal Palace, the Capodimonte Museum, among the most important. But there is not only ancient art: the Metro houses more than 180 works by major contemporary artists, and the recent opening of contemporary art containers, the Madre and Pan Museum, inside beautiful historic buildings, has made manifests a never dormant cultural vivacity.
